SnapShell-Passports is an innovative 5 Megapixel color camera unit, which allows quick image capturing of documents up to 9.5 x 13cm in size such as standard international ICAO Passports and travel documents, ID cards, Drivers licenses, health insurance cards and other personal documents. SnapShell-Passports has a unique design to provide small footprint and ease of use. The camera is powered via a single USB 2.0 port and includes a special optical sensor that detects when a document is being placed on the glass area then automatically captures an image within one second.

Using standard TWAIN driver SnapShell-Passports operates with every Windows scanning software such as Photoshop, Office Picture Manager, and others.

Note: SnapShell-Passports is not compatible with our IDscan/SDK OCR software, to collect information from ID cards, Drivers licenses etc. see our IDscan technology.
