SnapShell-Passports SnapShell-Passports is an innovative capturing device for data collection and authentication of travel documents such as Passports and ID cards based on a 3.2 Megapixel color camera unit (CMOS) with Visible, UV and IR illuminations, which enable quick and accurate data collection, full page image capturing, and visual security features authentication of all international passports as well as standard size plastic ID cards, Drivers licenses, health insurance cards and other small size documents. For maximum usability SnapShell-Passports was design with small footprint and light weight. The camera unit is powered via a single USB 2.0 port without the need for external PSU (Power Supply Unit is required for RFID reading only). SnapShell-Passports includes an optical auto-detect sensor to detect when a passport or a card is being placed on its glass area and automatically capture an image within approximately one second.

Note: SnapShell-Passports is not compatible with our IDscan/SDK OCR software, to collect information from ID cards, Drivers licenses etc. see our IDscan Passports technology.
