IDScan - The ID cards scanner and driver's license scanner is an easy-to-use, fully integrable data collection card scanner, which allow to scans Driving License, national ID card, Passports, Business cards* or any other complicated document, regardless of its background colours or fonts, and performs advanced image processing and OCR* technology in order to to provide the user with both digital images of the scanned ID card and all the relevant textual information in a format that makes it easy to integrate with any database and application.

IDScan's unique Hardware was designed to automatically detect when an ID card is being inserted to the scanner. Within seconds the ID card is being scanned and analyzed by the powerful image processing engine and all the relevant textual details extract and store in the proper fields of the database including three image files:

1. Full ID image.

2. Face image.

3. Signature image.

(note: Id Scan is an integrable system which does not include a built-in database)

IDScan increases productivity and reduces human typing errors through the archiving process. The bus powered USB device is powerful yet simple to use and in conjunction with its versatility, makes ID Scan's benefits numerous and immediate.

In addition to its unique ability to collect data from printed ID cards and documents, ID Scan also designed to increase data reliability and help you detect faked ID's by automatically comparing the textual data to the data stored on the magnetic strip or the 2D barcode of the scanned ID.

IDScan incorporates the latest Optical Characters Recognition technology in Image Processing and Field Identification for ID card verification and driver license check.

The IDScan application has an OCR system that is pre-trained to recognize and interpret a wide variety of font types on ID cards.

After the OCR begins to read the textual information, the application uses its intelligent engine to fix errors and to correctly place the data into the appropriate fields of the database for example: ID card number, Name, Address, Issue Date, Expiration Date and Date of Birth.
