EUROPEAN HEALTH INSURANCE CARD (EHIC E111)

MedicScan EHIC reader - the first European Health Insurance Card reader is an easy-to-use, fully integrated EHIC scanning package that extract all the information from the new EHI cards and store them in a text file or directly into your database, including the card's image.

MedicScan EHIC system performs advanced image processing and OCR technology with full customization (SDK) to provide system integrators to easily develop automatic check in to hospitals and clinics around Europe.

In addition to it's unique capability to collect data from European Health card, MedicScan is also capable of collecting data from almost any ID card, Driver's license, passports and other documents. These features made MedicScan the ultimate tool for developers, system integrators and users.

Optionally, MedicScan could run two scanning devices: ScanShell 800 + Magnetic Strip Reader.

MedicScan incorporates the latest Optical Characters Recognition technology in Image Processing and Field Identification for ID card verification and driver license check.

MedicScan application has an OCR system that is pre-trained to recognize and interpret a wide variety of font types on ID cards.

After the OCR begins to read the textual information, the application uses its intelligent engine to fix errors and to correctly place the data into the appropriate fields of the database for example: ID card number, Name, Address, Issue Date, Expiration Date and Date of Birth.
