The system communicates and control the local USB scanning device, analyzes the scanned images (face photo, signature and entire card) and save them to your pre-configured folder together with an ASCII text file which contains the textual information that has been extracted from the scanned document (as a comma delimited file or other format of your choice). The entire scanner parameters are configurable and accessible by a third party (i.e. your application) in real time to allow user modifications while the system is running. The text file could then be read by your software at certain time interval in order to store the information and images in the right fields of your database application and to allow data manipulation
