About Card Scanning Solutions
Card Scanning Solutions Ltd. (CSSN) is a private company with marketing divisions in the the US and Europe (UK). The company's main expertise are image processing and optical solutions. Our flagship product is IdScan system, which extract data form ID cards and Passports.
IdScan system consists of an ultra compact card scanner (pass-through or flatbed) and software. Our systems are based on advanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology and designed to quickly and accurately read the textual information from driver's license, passports, medical insurance cards and other ID cards.
Although it may look simple and in some way trivial, ID Scan technology includes a number of unique algorithms, which allows to analyze complicated documents in order to accurately extract any desired text or images from it. Unlike all other OCR based system, our system “learn” the specific pattern of each scanned document and automatically recognize when a similar document is being scanned. It also automatically detects the type of document, place of issue, and other details regardless the position of the document on the scanner.
A self-developed algorithm is responsible for the system’s extraordinary OCR results. This unique algorithm is the only one in the market (as far as we know) that allows to extract text regardless of colors, fonts or background colors (include bright text over dark background), and provides up to 99.9% data accuracy (anyway, not less than 96%, while most OCR software would not guarantee more than 70% accuracy for a black/white document).
ID Scan system comes in three different levels of applications:

IdScan – includes minimal GUI and aimed to be integrated into end-user current system by the end-user or by the systems integrator.

ID Scan Pro – includes advanced GUI and self database. The system is aimed to work as a stand alone application, mainly for small business without central data base.

SDK – includes all the features but with the ability to control each feature externally by another application. This system is aimed for software integrators, mainly of larger companies and rank in our top-sellers list in the US market.
All three systems were designed to work with our special scanners only. ID Scan comes with all the relevant templates (custom-made for each user) and includes an automatic on-line update features.
In addition, we use our knowledge and experience to offer a wide range of tailor-made solutions to meet the specific data collection requirements of our customers, for example: a system that automatically extract specific text from a given A4/A3 document such as invoices, car registration license, letters etc'.
Our professional team has tens of years of cumulative experience in IT and image processing and our products are being sold across the US, South America and Asia since 2001 at total sales volume of more then 80,000 systems.
